Doula Bula provides birth doula support for families delivering at Kaiser Permanente Modesto Medical Center. I work with qualifying Kaiser Permanente and Kaiser Medi-Cal members and provide prenatal, labor, birth, and postpartum doula support throughout Modesto and the surrounding Central Valley.
Many families are eligible for doula services through their insurance plan. Doula Bula works with select Medi-Cal and commercial health plans. Check your eligibility to see whether your services may be covered.

Services are personalized to help families feel informed, prepared, confident, and supported throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Absolutely. Placenta encapsulation is available as a stand-alone service, so you do not need to be a Doula Bula birth client. Placenta services can include encapsulation and optional keepsakes. You can reserve placenta services during pregnancy so everything is arranged before your baby arrives.
Doula Bula provides birth doula and postpartum support throughout Stanislaus and San Joaquin counties, including Modesto, Turlock, Manteca, Ripon, Tracy, Stockton, Lodi and surrounding communities. Placenta encapsulation services are also available throughout the Central Valley, with convenient pickup options available within the service area as well as shipping kits available as an option.

Yes! Many families may qualify for insurance-covered doula services, including eligible Medi-Cal members. Doula Bula works with select insurance plans to provide prenatal, birth and postpartum doula support. Coverage and eligibility vary by health plan, so families are encouraged to verify their benefits before booking.

Yes! I provide birth doula support for families planning to deliver at Kaiser Permanente Modesto Medical Center. As a Kaiser doula serving Modesto and the Central Valley, I provide prenatal support, continuous labor and birth support, and postpartum care.
Many Kaiser Permanente and Kaiser Medi-Cal plans include doula benefits for eligible members. Coverage varies by plan, so I can help you understand the process and verify your doula benefits before getting started
You can reach out at any point during pregnancy! My availability for Kaiser Modesto birth doula support is limited each month, so reaching out earlier gives us more time for prenatal education, birth preparation, and getting to know each other before labor.
You can hire a birth doula at any point during pregnancy, but booking early is recommended because availability is limited around each estimated due date. Doula Bula provides prenatal support leading up to birth, continuous support during labor and birth, and postpartum follow-up to help you feel informed, prepared and supported throughout your experience.
After your baby is born, contact Doula Bula to arrange placenta pickup. Your placenta should be properly refrigerated or kept cold in a cooler with plenty of ice until pickup. Pickup is available within Stanislaus and San Joaquin counties, (you may have family member deliver the placenta to me, or we can ship overnight if you are outside of the area) and most placenta services are completed within approximately 24–48 hours after pickup.
